Biography

Luis Gueilburt is an Argentine sculptor, painter, and writer, born in Buenos Aires in 1950 and residing in Barcelona since 1978. He is renowned for his deep knowledge and expertise in the works of modernist architect Antoni Gaudí. Since 1998, Gueilburt has been responsible for the Gaudí and Catalan Modernism Research Line at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

Gueilburt has conducted extensive research and published numerous works on Gaudí and Catalan modernism. Among his notable contributions, he has participated in the restoration of several Gaudí works, including the dragon gate at the Pavilions Güell and the Gaudí House Museum in Park Güell. He has also taught courses, seminars, and conferences on Gaudí at various universities and international forums.

Gueilburt has organized exhibitions such as “Gaudir Gaudí” and published books like “Ceramics in Gaudí’s Work” and “Gaudí Album, Barcelona.” His work and dedication have been crucial in preserving and disseminating Gaudí’s legacy in Barcelona.
